At least he missed that horrible Bills game…
A Detroit Lions fan verbally abused Green Bay Packers head coach Matt LaFleur on the field during the national anthem, resulting in Matt LaFleur losing his season ticket.
Before the Lions’ home game against the Green Bay Packers (December 5th), season ticket holder Fahad Yousif was allowed to stand on the field holding the American flag during the national anthem. Well, during or near the national anthem, Youssif was badmouthing several Green Bay players, which led to LaFleur yelling at Youssif.
“I started badmouthing the other team, so I understand that, but I really don’t think it was necessarily justified to get to this level,” Youssif said. (Related: Forget cats in Ohio, Panthers’ Xavier Leggett admits to eating raccoon here)
After the incident, Yousif was ejected from Ford Field at halftime of the game, and a few days later, on Monday, he received an email from the Detroit organization saying he had been stripped of his season tickets.
“It was terrible, I didn’t think it was real at first. It hurts to have my ticket completely revoked and never be able to be a season ticket member again. It hurts a lot,” Yousif said.
But Youssif has not only suffered the loss of his season tickets, he is also prohibited from attending NFL games until he completes an online code of conduct course. To make matters worse, the course costs a whopping $250.

Yes, it’s a bit of an exaggeration, but who would talk trash during the national anthem?
