Dave Bautista opened up about his crush on his Dune Part 2 co-star Josh Brolin during a conversation with PEOPLE at the film's premiere in New York on Sunday.
“It's scary,” says a 55-year-old man. Said An outlet about ensemble casts. “It's really scary. I look up and I see Stellan Skarsgård, I look down and I see Christopher Walken, and I see Timmy.” [Timothée Chalamet] And Zendaya and Austin [Butler] and florence [Pugh] And Josh Brolin. ”
Despite sharing the screen with countless talents, his connection to Brolin stood out during the interview.
“God, I have a guy who's crazy about Josh Brolin. I'm crazy about big guys,” he reportedly continued. “I love him as a performer and as a person.”

Bautista reflected on his friendship with his co-stars in PEOPLE, reminiscing about their personal conversations and the bond they formed after co-starring in the Marvel movies. “That's where we met,” he was quoted as saying. “I've known Josh for years, and I think we became very close during our conversations during our time at Marvel.” (Related: Josh Brolin seems to be writing some really bad poetry about his co-stars)
During the interview, the actor also talked about his experience working with director Denis Villeneuve on Dune Part 2. He reportedly told the story of how he met Villeneuve during a costume matching session.
“My favorite memory is the first day of work where I was there just for costume fitting,” Bautista recalled in an interview.
“Dennis came to say hi to me,” the actor tells PEOPLE. “I was dying to have this conversation about this character because he's more fleshed out and more developed. And I said, 'Let's talk about it.' Who is he? What do you think? 'And he said, “Let me dream tonight, and I'll tell you tomorrow.'' ”
“I thought this was the best answer I've ever gotten from anyone in my life,” he reportedly continued. “I just felt cold.”
