It’s Official: Bronny James Is Joining His Dad LeBron In Los Angeles After Lakers Take Him With No. 55 Pick In Draft

LeBron x Bronny…it’s official.

Coming into Thursday, the NBA had never seen a father and son play in the league at the same time. But that all changed with that night's draft. LeBron James and his son Bronny James Not only will the two be in the NBA at the same time, but they will also be teammates in Los Angeles, as the Lakers selected the former USC Trojan with the 55th pick in the second round.

When Los Angeles made his selection, Bronny was with the James family at a dinner party in New York, according to the Four Letter Network, with LeBron's mother, Gloria James, and his wife, Savannah, both parents in attendance, as well as some of Bronny's closest friends and mentors.

After the Lakers made the pick, LeBron celebrated the moment by leading a champagne toast among the group and was “very emotional” while giving a speech, according to ESPN.

Brony Average In college, he averaged 4.8 points (36.6% field goal percentage), 2.8 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game.

First off, I love the fact that LeBron James and Bronny James are now teammates in L.A. Also, I'm a JJ Redick fan (even though I've been a bit critical of him lately), so the Lakers look good to me… I love all of this.

But let's put the brakes on there because, to be honest, it's pretty embarrassing that we're trying to make this “special” like LeBron and co. didn't force all of this.
