It’s Official: Cavaliers’ Zhaire Smith Gets The Dunk Of The NBA Summer League After Ferocious Posterize

The main reason why many people (myself included) are interested in the NBA Summer League is because of the opportunity to see rookies and other young talent – who wouldn't want to see players who formerly wore blue blood jerseys play for their basketball team, for example?

The result is that young players who might not otherwise enjoy this kind of attention during the league's regular season, at least in the early stages of their careers, get to shine, and in these situations we see players doing everything they can to grab the spotlight and give us something to cheer about. For those of you who don't know who Zhaire Smith is, he was the 16th overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft but hasn't been on an actual NBA roster since retiring. Second Year But he earned a summer league job with the Cavs after spending last season with their G League team.

But Cleveland might want to add him to their main roster after this, as he'd be worth it for the marketing alone, plus the slam dunk contest could be a trophy for the team.
