Democrat Strategist Criticizes VP Vance During Vacation
While on vacation abroad, Democrat strategist James Kerrville strongly criticized Vice President JD Vance, suggesting that Democrats should respond decisively to his actions. Vance recently took a family trip to Scotland, staying at a luxurious location near Kilmarnock. In his “Political War Room” podcast, Kerrville found it amusing that Vance chose to vacation overseas instead of enjoying time in the United States.
“Sure, he’s entitled to a holiday, I suppose. But guess where he went? To a place called Oxfordshire in England. It’s a British vineyard. Why hasn’t anyone capitalized on this?” Kerrville questioned.
Kerrville expressed frustration, asking why Democrats and tourism boards in states like Florida, Nevada, and Wyoming weren’t leveraging Vance’s vacation choices. “Why didn’t the Florida Panhandle Tourism Association make a big deal out of this? People in upstate New York would have welcomed his spending. Instead, he picks some English village,” he noted.
According to the longtime strategist, Vance even faced some level of rejection abroad. “The staff at a pub wouldn’t serve him, which is telling. They didn’t even put him in the best pub around… Just use JD Vance as a punching bag whenever you can,” Kerrville added.
Despite Kerrville’s comments, it’s noteworthy that Vance managed to raise $4 million for the Republican National Committee during his time in the UK. This marked his latest fundraising effort since assuming the role of RNC Finance Chair back in March, as reported by various sources. Furthermore, he secured an agreement with UK authorities to negotiate access to UK personal cloud data.
Earlier that same day, Vance was engaged in official duties, including a tour of Union Station in Washington, DC, alongside Secretary of Defense Pete Hegses and Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller, focusing on President Donald Trump’s crackdown on crime, which has already resulted in over 550 arrests in the capital.
