James “Jimmy” passed away peacefully on April 12, 2023, surrounded by his family at Del Webb Hospital in Sun City West, Arizona, where he lived. Jimmy passed away one day after his 87th birthday on April 13th. Jimmy He was born on April 13, 1936, in Everett, Washington, to Henry and Leona He Lotion. He was the youngest of his six siblings followed by his two sisters. Jimmy died before his first wife. Yvette-1999; parents; Henry and Leona, brothers. Ray-2010 (Dolly), Charlie-2016, Ron-2022 (Beverly), Larry-2022 (Adeline), Leonard-2023.
Jimmy is survived by his second wife, Peggy (Margaret). Sister. Mary Langill (Tom) & Carol Lochon (Dennis); 4 children: Michael (Kim), Janet Leish (Kevin), Richard (Thomas), Jim Roy (Bronwyn). Seven grandchildren: Nicholas, Garrett (Tabitha) & Tiffany Strezelecki (Thaddeus), Tyler Ann & Dylan, Harrison & Mason. Four great-grandchildren: Kaylee and Kane, Ariana and Brantley. Sisters-in-law: Lena, Mary, Peg, Joe, Kathy. Brother-in-law. Marcel, Bill (Gail) and Peter (Sharon).
Jimmy attended Our Lady of Perpetual Help and Everett High School, where he graduated. After graduating, Jimmy volunteered for national service and entered the Navy Reserve in December 1953. Jimmy then entered active duty in the Navy in January 1955 and was honorably discharged in January 1957. From April 1964 he received his second honorary discharge until April 1968.
On November 16, 1957, Jimmy married Yvette Muloin at the Perpetual Help Church and was married to Yvette for 41 years until his death on September 9, 1999. Jimmy began his career as a bus driver for his 14 years in Seattle in September 1958. Seattle Transit became Metro Transit and King He County became Metro. Jimmy became a service supervisor and held many positions at Metro. From dispatcher to instructor. Jimmy finished his Metro career at KC in 1998 after serving for 41 years as his senior scheduler/planner.
In 2004, Jimmy married his second and current wife Peggy (Margaret) Roy on October 9, 2004 from Syracuse, New York.
A James “Jimmy” A. Rochon service will be held on Friday, May 12, 2023 at 10:00 am in Our Lady of Hope Chapel – 2617 Cedar St., Everett, WA 98201.
Also, on Thursday, May 11, 2023 at 7pm, Jimmy’s Rosary will be offered in Our Lady of Hope Chapel.
A reception will be held immediately after the service on Friday from 11 AM to 12:30 PM. The location is Mattie Hall-2517 Hoyt Ave, Everett, WA 98201.
The reception will be followed by a graveside visit at 1:00 pm at Holyrood Cemetery, 205 NE 205th St., Shoreline, WA 98155.
