After all, the Democratic Party and most mainstream media outlets have been claiming for weeks that non-citizens cannot and will not register or vote in American elections. These news articles gave the lie to these claims. These claims were propagated specifically with the aim of defeating a parliamentary bill banning non-referendum votes.
