A Jasper entrepreneur, known for a results-oriented approach, has secured approval from the Alabama Truck Transport Association as he vies for public office.
Dustin Beatty, a conservative Republican and lifelong resident of Walker County, was the first to announce his candidacy for the 13th Alabama House of Representatives district back in mid-May.
In a statement released Monday, ATA leadership praised Beatty’s business acumen and experience.
“Dustin Beatty is a proven leader who understands what it takes to create jobs and drive Alabama in the right direction,” said ATA Chairman Joe Black. “Trucking is a vital industry in the 13th district, providing jobs for thousands of Alabamians. Beatty has a depth of experience as a business owner and a dedicated community member.”
Black added, “We are proud to back his campaign. He offers over 20 years of experience as a business owner and civic leader, which gives him a solid understanding of the challenges facing working families.”
Beatty shared his appreciation for the support from industry groups.
“We are thrilled to have the endorsement from the Alabama Truck Transport Association and its members,” he stated. “Truck drivers play a crucial role in our community and are essential for keeping Alabama’s economy moving. My campaign is dedicated to fostering growth in Walker County, and I am honored to have the trucking industry as a partner in this mission.”
In May, Beatty discussed his vision for the 13th district, stating, “Walker County is my home, and I’m running to make sure it’s a place where the next generation can live, work, and raise a family. It begins with strong conservative leadership that emphasizes economic growth, improved access to mental health and addiction recovery services, and the foundational American values we hold dear.”
The 13th district seat was previously held by Rep. Matt Woods, R-Jasper, who received backing from another ATA endorsement.
