Jay-Z brutally tore off his Grammy award certificate while on stage at the Grammy Awards ceremony.
The music mogul accepted the Dr. Dre Global Impact Award at the 66th Annual Grammy Awards on Sunday, but instead of keeping it classy, he insulted the very people who picked up the trophy. . He criticized the Academy for denying his wife Beyoncé the Album of the Year award and mocked the other nominees, saying, “Some people don't belong in this category.”

The famous artist took to the stage to remind fans that he had boycotted the Grammy Awards in the past. Unfortunately, the awkward moment didn't last long. The rest of his speech was verbal diarrhea.
Jay-Z's entire speech was a never-ending train wreck. The room was packed to the brim with some of the biggest artists of all time, and not a single sound could be heard in the room as he continued to slam the very people in front of him.
He debunked the fact that Beyoncé didn't win the ultimate Grammy Award, and fiercely defended his wife while throwing daggers at the powers that run the awards show. Jay-Z expressed anger at the fact that despite having the most awards in Grammy history, he has yet to win Album of the Year, pointing out that “the metrics aren't working.”

“Think about it, most Grammys have never won album of the year,” he said. He shook his head and said, “It doesn't work.”
“Some people are going to go home tonight and feel like they've been robbed, and some people may be robbed,” he said.
The crowd immediately gasped, and the camera showed Beyoncé standing there looking very uncomfortable, a fake smile on her face, her eyes darting nervously from side to side.
Just when you thought it couldn't get any worse, it did. Rather than retract his own comments or drop them altogether, Jay-Z said,
“No, I tell the truth when I'm nervous.”

He then rambled on about how “we have to keep showing up,” not just at the Grammys but “in life.” (Related: Taylor Swift announces new album release on Grammy Awards stage)
After completely crushing the Grammys, it was too late to deflect his insults.
Thankfully, his time on stage eventually expired.
