JD FOSTER: Biden’s Big Whopper

Well, he finally did it. Joe Biden has finally punched his ticket to the presidential statement “Hall of Shame.”

This is a fairly rare air because it requires a very brazen false statement. Although many have tried, only two other presidents in modern history have earned a pedestal in this unholy hall of fame.

President Richard Nixon, who famously claimed, “I'm not a crook,'' was the first to qualify. (Related: Larry Elder: Trump was called a racist for saying 'invasion'. So what if Al Sharpton said that?)

For those whose history is a little fuzzy, Nixon made this comment in 1973 during a televised session with a group of Associated Press editors at Walt Disney World. A few months later, as impeachment proceedings over the Watergate scandal reached a climax, he resigned.

No one had ever accused Nixon of auto theft or similar crimes, so in that sense his claims were valid. He was no ordinary con artist. But because the term “fraudster” includes charges related to wanton obstruction of justice, Mr. Nixon earned the first pedestal in the Hall.

Nearly a decade passed before this country experienced its second Hall of Shame visit with a presidential statement. The impetus was President Bill Clinton's press conference at the height of the Monica Lewinsky scandal. Just to refresh your memory, Monica Lewinsky was a young White House intern who had a kinky relationship with the bubbly Bill for several months.

As Hillary Clinton glared over his shoulder, Bill wagged his finger at reporters and insisted, “I have not had sexual relations with that woman, Monica Lewinsky.”

It's unclear whether Bill and Monica ever committed the dirty deed, but their various sexual relations are evidenced by a particular blue dress and some DNA. “I didn't say anything.

About 40 years have passed since Bill's Whopper. It was inevitable. Enter, President Joe Biden.rear persistently deny Since taking office, even Biden has now acknowledged that the southern border is in crisis, if a barely mitigated invasion can even be called a crisis at all. Just a few years ago, that wasn't the case. President Trump’s “remain in Mexico” and wall-building policies are working, and they would be even more effective if Congress provided more money for wall construction.

what happened? Biden caused the incident.

Policies that were working have been reversed. Work on the wall has been halted.

At the beginning of his administration, Biden announced to the world, as if it were an episode of The Price is Right, that the welcome mat was open and “come on down.” Millions of people from all over the world heard his message. Today, millions of people within the country roam America illegally.

Biden now wants Congress to pass the Senate's bipartisan border bill so he can claim the problem will end soon. “Immediately” in this case means never, because Biden would ignore elements of the bill that could help stabilize the border. His policy is to open borders. His views have not changed.

Illegal immigration and border violations are top concerns of American voters, and they know Biden is responsible. He needs an out. If the Senate bill truly secures the southern border, Republicans should support him. But if properly labeled, the bill would be called Biden's Institutional Invasion Act. It's no surprise that Senate Republicans oppose it.

In summary, during the Trump administration, the border became increasingly under control. Biden laid out the welcome mat. Confusion ensued.

This is where Biden enters the Hall of Shame. In a recent press conference, Biden said: claimed that“The only reason our border is not secure is because of Donald Trump and his MAGA Republican friends.”

Perhaps the White House doctor can shed some light on this. What the hell is Biden smoking? Biden, on the other hand, may take the third pedestal.
