Jennifer Lawrence said Sunday that she walked up to Robert De Niro during their 2019 wedding and flatly told him to “get out.”
Ms Lawrence said she was concerned that he was not having a good time and felt she should release him elsewhere without obligation. “I looked back and saw Bob wandering around, not knowing anyone, and I immediately thought, 'No, this is not what he wants to do. He doesn’t want him here,” Lawrence said. Eh!news He spoke during a Golden Globe Awards red carpet interview on Sunday.

Lawrence explained that she observed the behavior of De Niro, a close friend, and felt that he might have been uncomfortable in some way.
“So I went to the house and whispered, 'Go home.' And he was nice. He liked to talk to my parents, and he was polite. But I was like, 'Go home,'” she told E! news.
De Niro ended up quitting the rehearsal dinner after her comments.
“It made me feel really good,” she said.
Lawrence admitted that her wedding to husband Cooke Maroney made her realize how “terrible” it was to be a bride. She pointed out that she was so concerned about whether her guests were having a good time that she put too much emphasis on it.

“I'll never forget it. I was frustrated that the guests were cold and that all my friends were lying. They were like, 'No one's cold, no one's cold, everything's cold,'” according to E!News. It's like, 'Okay, everything's fine,'” she said.
She said she missed out on the fun she would have had at her own events because she was worried about other people having fun.

Lawrence's big day was a star-studded celebration held in Newport, Rhode Island. She and Maroney welcomed their first child together in 2022.
