Jennifer Lopez officially filed for divorce from Ben Affleck on the very day of their two-year wedding anniversary.
Lopez filed legal papers in Los Angeles Superior Court on Tuesday. TMZThe famous actress and singer reportedly filed the papers herself without the help of a lawyer. Speculation about the end of their marriage has been making headlines for weeks.
The former celebrity couple have been spotted together on multiple occasions, sparking rumors that they are close to splitting. According to TMZ, the date Lopez filed for divorce will symbolically coincide with the day she and Affleck are set to have a lavish wedding in Georgia in 2022.

Lopez and Affleck reportedly legally married in Las Vegas on July 16, 2022, before throwing a celeb-studded wedding reception. According to TMZ, Lopez's court filings list their official separation date as April 2024.
The court filings reportedly don't state whether Affleck and Lopez had a prenuptial agreement. According to TMZ, Lopez waived spousal support and asked the judge to deny Affleck any support as well.

According to TMZ, a source with direct knowledge of the situation said there is no prenuptial agreement between the couple, suggesting that any income and profits they earn during their two years of marriage will become community property.
These projects include Affleck's upcoming films Air and Hypnotic, as well as his work as a producer on The Instigators and his recent work on The Accountant 2.

During her marriage to Affleck, Lopez also appeared in a number of major films, including Shotgun Wedding, The Mother, This Is Me…Now and Atlas.
According to TMZ, there are no custody issues as the couple do not have any biological children together, but inside sources say that there are still unresolved issues between Affleck and Lopez regarding the sale of the couple's Beverly Hills home. This marks the end of Lopez's fourth marriage and Ben's second.
