Legendary R&B star Jerry “Iceman” Butler passed away on a natural cause on Thursday night at his Chicago home.
Butler’s assistant Marty said the well-known artist and respected Illinois politician suffered from Parkinson’s disease in his later years.

The undeniable impact of Butler’s signature sound blend soul, R&B, and gospel music. His music was dominated in the 1950s and 1960s, attracting the attention of international audiences long before the internet and social media opened up opportunities.
