Jim Ross Stepping Away From AEW To ‘Heal’ After Bruising Fall

If you’re a wrestling fan like me, Jim Ross is a legend who, in his 30-year career, has performed some of the most classic calls for WWE, WCW, and now AEW. you should know Unfortunately, Icon is away for a short time so he can “heal” after suffering a bad fall that left him with a rough black eye.

When All Elite Wrestling’s new “Collision” show debuted Saturday night and Jim Ross joined the commentary team, it was quickly apparent that he wasn’t 100% himself as he spoke.

Before flying to Chicago to provide voices for AEW’s new TV show that saw the resurgence of CM Punk, Ross tweeted that he fell and went black. But nevertheless, he was going to Cheetown for a big night of organization led by Tony Kahn.

But when it came time for Jim Ross to head off to work, his voice wasn’t like the regular JR we know him, his voice was hoarse and slow while calling out to action. After the show, Ross posted an apology to AEW fans.

Oh, Jim Ross is such a great soldier.

I can’t help but feel sorry for him. Because he knows how wrestling fans like me (and people in general) are, he absolutely sticks with JR and I’m sure there are plenty of people who want him to retire and be gone Because there is Frankly, those people can kick stones. Hell, JR won my respect throughout this ordeal. He could have done something simple and said no more, or he could have just stayed home…but no, my husband went to work. I like that.
