Jo Koy Crashed And Burned Within Seconds Of Hosting The Golden Globe Awards

Famous comedian Jo Koy failed miserably as host of the Golden Globes, but social media won't let him forget his failure.

There's no doubt that Coy is a talented comedian, but someone on his team should have warned him to avoid hosting the 81st Golden Globe Awards on January 7th. Koy angered a room full of celebrities, disappointed fans, and caused an embarrassing incident all at once. . “I got the gig 10 days ago! You want the perfect monologue?” he said, realizing he was failing on stage.

Coy's jokes fell flat from the start of his opening monologue, and he never seemed to be able to reign in the star-studded audience again.

“I haven't slept or done anything social since the announcement,” he said.

“I've been watching intently and I've been looking at everything, every category, non-stop.”

The audience started booing, and realizing he was tanking, he threw the show's writers under the bus.

“Hey, shut up…some of these I wrote, but it's what you're laughing at,” Coy told the crowd.

“Some I wrote, some others wrote,” Coy said when one of his jokes was met with silence. The famous comedian gave scathing criticism of the writers while clearly struggling to polish their content.

Coy's time on stage unfolded like a slow-motion train wreck. He likened Barry Keoghan's penis in Saltburn to the prosthetic nose worn by Bradley Cooper in The Maestro, and went on to describe Barbie as a movie about “a plastic doll with big boobs.” I declared, earning awkward looks from people. Some called him “the worst host ever”, while others called him “intolerable” and commented that although they were once fans, he “killed all the fun out of it.”

According to a viewer, “Jo Koy will never host another awards show in the future.”
