In Montgomery, two prominent lobbyists have joined forces to establish Rostaller & Associates, a new firm that focuses on government relations and public relations.

John Ross and Charlie Taylor are the driving forces behind this venture, which aims to cater to a range of notable organizations within Alabama’s public and private sectors. Their clientele includes major players in utilities, education, healthcare, and technology.

With offices in Montgomery, Birmingham, and Tuscaloosa, the firm is stepping into a competitive arena. They offer a wide array of services: from state lobbying and addressing federal matters to business development strategies and public affairs consultancy.

Ross, a seasoned player in Alabama politics, brings over 20 years of experience in strategic consulting related to government and public policy. He’s known for his pivotal role in the Alabama Republican Party’s successful 2010 campaign, where he helped the GOP achieve victories across many levels, ending a 136-year Democratic hold in the Alabama Legislature.

Since that success, he has continued to play an integral role in elections, often serving as a trusted advisor to senior leaders in the Alabama Legislature. In 2014, he was a significant figure in the campaign of Nathaniel Leadbetter and has remained close to him since then.

Joining him as co-founder is Charlie Taylor, who previously held the position of deputy prime minister of foreign affairs for the University of Alabama system. Taylor is recognized as a reliable and influential figure in Alabama’s political landscape.

During his tenure at UA, Taylor oversaw lobbying efforts that secured billions in funding for education and healthcare initiatives. He was also instrumental in coordinating visits by President Donald Trump to the University, including notable speeches during graduations.

Both Ross and Taylor maintain solid connections with the leadership in the Senate and House, which is likely to benefit their new firm.
