President Donald Trump has deported immigrants. Last month, there were 11,000 people.
Some people are unhappy about it.
Last week, a judge ordered Trump to halt the removal of Venezuelan citizens. (Anyway, deportation occurred.)
I definitely want immigrant criminals to be deported.
Trump says immigration crimes are “occurring at a level that no one thinks is possible.”
But that’s not true.
Researching my new video, I learned that immigrants are less likely to get into trouble than the Americans who were actually born.
Texas, the only state to track immigration crimes, compares convictions per 100,000 Americans. Score: Illegal immigrants, 782; Legal immigrants, 535; Native-born Americans, 1,422. That’s the opposite of what most of us have heard.
However, even when immigrants are unlikely to commit a crime, there are other reasons to oppose immigration.
1) Immigrants take jobs from Americans.
2) They freeload our welfare system.
3) They threaten our culture.
It’ll be a point by point.
Tucker Carlson said, “These new rivals are primarily competing with Americans who are most likely to have lost their jobs.”
He’s right. Immigrants have taken jobs from some Americans, while some Americans have lost jobs. However, the unemployment rate is relatively low: 4.1%. 8.8% were first hired by ABC.
Today, businesses complain that they can’t find enough people who are willing to do their time and work.
Furthermore, “All Serious Economic Research” shows that immigrants “create more jobs than destroy,” says Yaron Brook of the Ayn Rand Institute.
They are certainly. Immigrants have launched Space X, eBay, Instacart, Uber, Nvidia, Sandisk and more.
“We benefit greatly from interactions with immigrants,” says Brook. “Who has the right to stop us from that interaction?…It’s like saying, “I have the right to stagnate and make all of you stand still with me.” ”
What about the second point? Will immigrants freeload welfare? Illegal immigrants don’t really qualify for most profits, but they pay taxes anyway. Some people give immigrant credit cards. Also, immigrant children often go to public schools, hospitals treat them for free (which seems less cruel) and benefit from public services available to everyone in America.
“The way to deal with that is not to limit immigration,” Brooke says. “We’ll deal with that by limiting the merchandise.”
Why not limit immigration?
“Immigration is a great benefit to Americans,” he says.
That’s true.
Trump said, “Legal immigrants. I like that. We need people.”
But even illegal immigrants are net profits. Not only are they harvesting and building our food, but Social Security and Medicare taxes deducted from their pay. That’s money they’ll never return, because They are not legal.
As a result, undocumented immigrants pay more for the economy than they return.
Some Americans say, “I support immigrants, but immigrants should side by side follow the law.”
But for most immigrants, that is almost impossible.
Under current rules, many people have to wait 100+ years!
“Legal immigration is incredibly complicated,” says Brooke. “It’s almost impossible to come here.”
Trump suggests selling the green card types for $5 million.
Maybe that’s a good idea.
Brooke says, “Anyone with a job can join.” That’s a good idea.
But then there is a third concern. “We bring in a farmer culture,” complained critic Anne Coulter.
Brooke said, “There are good people in every culture. When. [the] Ireland came and they were accused of being wild bars. All waves of immigration are accused of the same thing. The fact is… no matter where they come from, they assimilate very well. ”
I say, “Some people are Muslim fundamentalists who bring ideas we hate. Some are socialists.”
“Yes,” Brooke replies, “But if we are confident in the ideas we have, individual rights, capitalism and freedom, we should fight for those ideas. Americans who teach our founding fathers that are terrible people at our university.”
In contrast, most immigrants like America!
Let’s put in more.
