It was truly a back-and-forth match with neither team winning consecutive sets, but Cactus Shadows eventually won the crucial set, with the match finishing 27-25, 22-25, 15-12.

Leading the Cactus Shadows to victory were Sedona Parks and Jordyn Fairfield, with Parks recording three digs and 20 assists and Fairfield recording five digs.

Trivium Prep lost despite showing true teamwork on offense, most notably from Meili Morris, who recorded seven digs.

The Cactus Shadows have been on a roll recently, winning seven of their last nine games to add to their 14-7 record on the season, while Trivium Prep saw their win streak snapped at four games with the loss, dropping them to 13-7.

The Cactus Shadows are back on the road on Monday, taking on Vista Grande at 6 p.m. The time to face Vista Grande comes just right for the Cactus Shadows, as Vista Grande is on a three-game losing streak, while Trivium Prep will take on St. John Paul II Catholic on the road on Tuesday at 6 p.m.
