For a long time, the US Department of Education has failed with children, especially underprivileged students.
It grew into a bloated bureaucracy that prioritized Washington’s elite over student and parent needs. President Donald J. Trump has made it clear that it is time to dismantle this failed system and bring power back to the state. Linda McMahon is the right leader to make that happen. Our education system is in crisis and Hispanic students are being hit hardest. According to the latest one National Assessment of Educational Progressstudents have not recovered from the devastating effects of school closures during the Covid-19 era on education. Only 16% Hispanic fourth graders I’m reading in A A skilled levelonly 23% meet the mathematics mark.
These statistics are not just numbers. They represent the urgent need to deal with our disparities Educational System. Most of our students are behind and set them up for a lifetime struggle in the competitive job market.
Despite its original purpose of improving academic outcomes across the country, the Ministry of Education has focused on distributing funds to often fruitless programming. This has resulted in an increase in bureaucracy, inefficient spending and policies that cannot address the specific needs of the community.
This is particularly relevant to the Hispanic community, which accounts for almost 30% of all K-12 students. They deserve an education system that works for them – not directed by Washington bureaucrats.
President Trump was bold in his vision. It is to split the federal strangulation on education and give back power to the nation, the community and, most importantly, the parents. Educational education allows states to create policies that address the specific needs of students rather than being forced to take a one-size-fits-all approach from Washington.
In his first weeks of office, President Trump showed his commitment The end of fundamental instructiveness K-12 schools and expansion Educational opportunities For American families. He also showed his dedication Protect children to ensure safety, fairness and dignity of women’s sports;.
For Hispanic families, this is a game changer. Bilingual education, expanding charter schools, and School Selection Programhas been proven to benefit Hispanic students, making it more accessible. If the nation is properly resourced and empowered, they can allocate the funds they need most, rather than being forced to comply with ineffective federal programs.
Hispanic families understand that education is a gateway to opportunity, and thus overwhelmingly support school choices. a Opinion survey The United States Children’s Federation found that 71% of Hispanic voters support school selection initiatives, including charter schools, voucher programs and educational savings accounts.
Parents know what’s best for their children, not their federal government. Children flourish when families have a choice. Whether it’s a charter school with STEM focus, a private school with a strong value-based education, or a homeschooling option tailored to your child’s learning style, school choices will allow families to get income or zip code. You can afford these opportunities regardless.
But for decades, the Ministry of Education has resisted these efforts, with teacher unions and special interest groups more than parents. It’s time to change that.
McMahon I’m not a career politician. She is a businessman, job creator, and a leader who understands the power of opportunity and hard work. As a former manager of the US Small Business Manager, she empowered entrepreneurs, especially those in the Hispanic community – to achieve American dreams.
She knows firsthand that education is the foundation of success and has leadership skills that can break down barriers that hinder children. Unlike the bureaucrats who spent their careers maintaining a broken system, McMahon is ready to disrupt it. She has executive experience ensuring parents and local educators rather than insiders in Washington set agendas, streamline sales, reduce waste, and ensure.
Hispanic families understand hard work, faith and family values. We start by doing our best to our children and giving them an education that meets their unique needs. The current system is creating a generation of students who fail us, unable to read at the grade level, unable to fight basic mathematics, and not trapped in failed school districts.
It’s time for bold action. It’s time to control parents, empower the nation, and give every child the opportunity to succeed, regardless of their background. With Linda McMahon as Secretary of Education, we are finally free from the grips of Washington and will allow our children to give them the future they deserve.
Let’s stand together, demand change and support leaders fighting for Hispanic families and all students in this great country.
