Yogi Bella, a mid-century New York Yankees Hall of Fame catcher known for his sleazy and often humorous observations of life. Maybe for travelers on the go, and for a quick meal, it was healthy advice. But the modern Democrats, who are rudderless, confused, confused, upset, are joking in the presidential joint speech on Tuesday evening, facing a no-joking folk.
On the one hand, there is a path where resistance is the least. Double the current situation. It is a progressive culture awakening/identity politics-led agenda of progressive culture that has dominated the party since Barack Obama disrupted Hillary Clinton in the 2008 Democratic presidential primary. On the other hand, there are more difficult but ultimately promising paths. It was a denial of legacy since 2008 and a conscientious return to politics at the Prudential Centre. The path that Democrats chose from here will go a long way in determining their relevance as a foreseeable future national party.
Obama’s shocking upset over Madame’s shocking chairman was an inflection point in the Democratic institutional trajectory. Voters rejected the Clintonian era’s cultural centrism that supports “hope” and “change” promised by Obama’s “Ascendant Coalition.” At first, it probably looked like a clever bet. Obama beat John McCain in the 2008 presidential general election. However, the one-off “Ascendants’ Union” has been converted into an “Acendants Union” that is both discerning and deeply offensive. The culturally militant awakening ultimately reached a detrimental peak during Joe Biden’s presidency. This saw the first “Day” Supreme Court judge’s choice (after Biden vows to nominate a black woman) and Vice President Day’s companion (after Kamala Harris chose a black woman).
This version of Democrats featured the awakening ancestors who greeted Obama himself as a proxy for Harris’s major presidential trajectory, but was thoroughly rejected by the American people in November. When voters embarked on an expanded political journey of “hope” and “change,” they realise they didn’t really know what they were signing up for. They were not interested and interested in justifying juvenile genital mutilation and chemical castration, which are sold e-musically as “gender-affirming care.” They were not interested and interested in agreeing to the wide range of imports and resettlement of foreigners whose cultures and customs are conflicting with our own.
It appears that some major Democrats are finally getting their notes. For example, former Clinton strategist James Kerrville has called for Democrats to distance themselves from the excesses of civilization that have awakened. But many others disagree. For example, there is no indication that a woman with “vision” has done introspection. Shortly after Shellac in the November election, Sunny Hostin attributed Harris’ loss to Donald Trump to “racism” and “miserious egy.” If we investigate the central leftist scene, it appears that there are many more hostine-like escalation voices than there are so many more sobriety voices like Kerrville.
Democratically elected officials are also deeply divided. California Gov. Gavin Newsom made the headlines in an interview with Charlie Kirk on Thursday by denialing certain aspects of awakening, but Congressional Democrats who attended Trump’s joint speech on Tuesday evening refused to reject praise. In general, their actions were actively clowned.
In a world where Democrats think that they are doing political benefits to themselves with these antics, what are these fundamental substantial political stances? One Trump guest on Tuesday, Payton McNabb is a female former high school athlete who was severely injured during a match against a team against a biological male player. On this issue, recent CNN polling shows that around four-fifths of Americans are opposed to the participation of biological men in women’s athletics. Even Newsom called the practice “deeply unfair” in his podcast episode with Kirk.
Unlike Congressional Democrats, Newsom appears to be reading tea leaves. There is a similar disparity between the issues of illegal immigration and so-called “sanctuary” jurisdiction. For example, consider the famous flip of New York City Mayor Eric Adams.
Worse, the majority of Democrat elites come across often and often. The leaders of the party arguably consider themselves “compassionate” especially for those who are perceived as “oppressed” (neo-Marxist intersectional measure of victimhood status). But where is your compassion for McNabb? Where is the compassion for the family of Rayken Riley, Athens, Georgia?
To restore their status and to regain lasting relevance as a viable national party in the election, Democrats must reject the entire post-2008/post-Obama cultural heritage. That’s the simple truth. Americans want a stable pocketbook, stable boundaries and a stable world stage. They are not interested in the singular concept of a Harris Democrats in the Obama tribe’s Harris Democrat culture war.
Have the Democrats reached such a challenge? There is an internal civil war, but I certainly have doubts. But unless they dismiss their cultural extremism, and Democrats continue their inspiration with no relation. Perhaps they will need to clean their watches a few more times in the ballot box. That’s not the worst.
