A panel of judges from the Alabama Performance Excellence (ALPEx) Program has named two organizations the recipients of the 2023 Alabama Performance Excellence Awards, recognizing excellence in quality and performance.
Two organizations received ALPEx Level 2 awards. The recipients are Athens Limestone Hospital (ALH) of the Huntsville Hospital Health System in Athens, Alabama, and Callahan Eye Hospital (CEH) at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) in Birmingham, Alabama.
Level 2 Award of Excellence – This recognition level is given to organizations that demonstrate a continued commitment to and application of performance excellence principles and practices. Both ALH and CEH have made great strides in building healthy, remarkable, and systematic processes that have improved the outcomes of key parts of their organizations.
This award serves as a progress report to demonstrate the fact that an organization is making great progress towards becoming the best company in its field.
The Alabama Performance Excellence Award is modeled after the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award. ALPEx recognizes and recognizes organizations that implement effective productivity and quality improvement strategies, techniques, and practices that can be shared with other organizations to contribute to the economic health of Alabama as a whole.
Winning the Performance Excellence Award is an external evaluation by a third party. It communicates to customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders that the organization is performing while leveraging sustainable processes, processes that help the organization maintain long-term success in achieving its goals. Tell you.
The award is based on performance criteria including outstanding leadership, strategy, customer and other stakeholder care, measurement, analysis, knowledge management, workforce, operations and organizational performance results.
The Alabama Performance Excellence Program provides organizations with a framework and internal motivation. Recognize the effort your employees put into doing the right thing in the right way for the right reasons. The ALPEx Award is administered by the Alabama Performance Excellence Program, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and member in honor of the national Baldrige Alliance partnership.
