Julieanna’s Steak and Seafood win Wine Spectator Award, a first for Yuma

Yuma, Arizona (KYMA, KECY) – Julianna’s Steak and Seafood Won wine spectator Outstanding performance award last month.

The restaurant was rated for having at least 90 wines on its menu and at least 900 wines in stock.

While several restaurants have won the award each year, Guzman Hospitality Group Corporate Beverage Director Anna Kohler said this is the first time the city of Yuma has won the award.

“For Yuma, there has never been a restaurant quite like a restaurant with a 90-plus wine list. “It was really exciting for us to establish ourselves as a city and put Yuma on the map. This isn’t just about this restaurant or its owners, it’s about Yuma as a city and the people here and to make sure everyone can join in the celebration. The community needs to support restaurants to make it happen, kind of,” Kohler said.

When Julianna heard of their victory, the staff said: celebration of june 27theveryone in the Yuma community came to celebrate the victory of the restaurant and the city of Yuma.

Kohler said he hopes the restaurant will submit more Wine Spectator awards in the near future.
