Safford, Thatcher and Pima are planning activities to celebrate Independence Day in 2023.
Mr Thatcher’s schedule of events:
6:30 am – The Thatcher Fire Department patrols the city with sirens.
7:00 am – Thatcher’s Parade begins at Thatcher High School and continues to Splash Pad and Herb Windsor Park. The ceremony at the park began with a welcome from Mayor Randy Bryce, followed by the raising of the flag and the singing of the national anthem. Followed by a complimentary pancake breakfast, Fire Station Splash and Play, and Jumping Castle.
Pima’s schedule of events:
7:00 am – Flag raising and breakfast of pancakes, eggs and bacon (all served at Pima Fire Station)
Safford’s schedule of events:
10 am – The annual Independence Day Parade is held on Main Street in Safford. The theme for 2023 is “Let Freedom Ring”.
A fireworks display takes place after dark at the Graham County Fairgrounds.
