Attorney General Pam Bondy raised concerns on Fox News Tuesday about the role of free judges in what he sees as an over-judicial outcome affecting presidential authorities.
When he appeared in “Kudlow,” Bondi discussed what she said about the challenges facing the presidential administration for free judges. She said federal hegemony is being challenged by state and local jurisdictions, pose as a signal of virtue and sanctuary cities.
“We’ve got some bad rulings from liberal district court judges who think they control the whole country, but they don’t. They’re trying to stop us at 1am on Saturday, trying to stop everything we’re doing, trying to stop the Doge, trying to stop the Treasury Secretary, trying to stop us,” Bondy told Larry Kudlow.
Bondy said these judges appointed under previous administrations like Obama and Biden are using temporary restraining orders to strip the president of the enforcement power granted by the Constitution. This, according to Bondi, is not just a cover, but a complete misunderstanding of the role and boundaries of justice.
“They can’t do that, Larry, I think they can do that,” Bondy said. “In Rhode Island, one district judge thinks he has control over money across the country. I think they control everything, but it’s not. And that’s why we’re chasing them all at every stage of the road.”
Bondi said the Justice Department plans to continue its fierce defense against enforcement decisions, particularly regarding environmental and fiscal policy. (Related: “A little political surveillance”: Former Biden aide is angry after Scott Jennings defends Trump Grant Freeze)
“The Justice Department fights back, we win. We defend the EPA. We defend the Treasury Secretary. We defend all this money. And it’s not these career bureaucrats, it’s about deciding who to hire, who to hire, who to fire, where to go, who to hire, who to hire, who to hire, who to hire, who to hire, who to hire, who to hire, who to hire,” Bondy said.
Bondi then suggested the underlying issues of fraud and mismanagement.
“There’s a reason why we don’t want to show the president the money. There’s a reason why they don’t want us to know where all this money is heading. It’s huge. The scams are huge. I think the crimes we’re trying to find are unprecedented. That’s why the Supreme Court stands up to us,” Bondy said. “They’re going to back us up. They’re going to go through all these district court judges. The president has the rights, so he’s been overwhelmingly elected by the people of the United States and only does the work he’s doing.”
Democrats yelled at concerns that Trump’s temporary federal spending freeze might be putting Medicaid funds at risk, but remained quiet when an audit of the Biden-Harris administration’s Medicaid program appears to be disproportionately targeting the red states. A day after the Trump Vance administration began the freeze, a Biden-appointed federal judge stopped it with a temporary injunction amidst selective rage, despite accusations from accusations of biased regulatory measures under Biden Harris, which threatens Medicaid in several states.
The liberal judge actively blocked some of Trump’s major initiatives through a series of rulings from various states, including US district judge John McConnell Jr., who is involved in cases opposed to Trump’s policies on issues ranging from immigration to federal spending. McConnell ordered the Trump administration to quickly recover the previously frozen funds.
