YUMA, AZ (KYMA, KECY) – It’s time for educators across Yuma County to come together to celebrate and celebrate their hard work.
As a result, Kaisa Tabor of Kofa High School was selected as the 2023 Yuma County Teacher.
Yuma County educators walked the red carpet for the biggest educator-starring night in education.
“The stars are gone. We always think of our teachers as the stars of the show, but especially tonight. There’s a red carpet entrance just for them. On our walk of the stars, former You can see all the Teacher of the Year winners,” said Miriam Limon, president of the Yuma Education Foundation Board of Directors.
Since 1988, the Yuma County Education Foundation has honored local teachers at this special event each year.
“Tonight we have 12 finalists. We have 3 finalists in 4 different categories. We will choose 1 teacher of the year from all 12 finalists. I had to share a lot about myself during that time,” Limon said.
And this year’s newest teacher, Kaisa Tabor, is an English teacher at Kofa High.
“I have been in education for 14 years and I am truly honored to be counted among all the people in this room and all the teachers who are not in this room throughout this whole process,” said Tabor. Told.
