Former Vice President and 2024 presidential candidate Kamala Harris is considering creating a “laborative research for policy and ideas” for the next act, The New York Times reported Thursday.
Harris has been mostly out of the public eye for the months since she took office, as rumors swirl that she might be looking at another run to become another White House run or California governor. Now, one of her top advisors is reaching out to the university to discuss the possibility of setting up a think tank. According to To NYT.
According to the NYT, longtime aide to Harris, Brian Nelson has reached out to universities such as Stanford and Howard to explore the prospect of hosting Harris’ “Institute for Policy and Ideas.” Several of her other allies have warned her, but they have warned that funding for the future centre could open her to attack with future political races depending on who the donor is. Harris was criticized for providing little details on what the agenda would look like if he won the 2024 race through his 2024 campaign to flee the left-wing policy position he enthusiastically supported as a presidential candidate in the 2020 election cycle. Additionally, she has also been consistently laughed at her “word salad” responses to basic questions and her tendency to awkwardly retreat to non-duty and distinctive anecdotes while speaking publicly.
According to the NYT, the former vice president’s defeat to President Donald Trump in the 2024 election still places emphasis on Harris’ hearts. Harris lost his general voting and election college as a trusted Democrat voting block previously shook towards Trump, but many Democrats were responsible for the challenges that would ensure Biden was re-election due to a 2024 defeat at the feet of former President Joe Biden and his circle.
To that end, according to the NYT, if Biden took more than 107 days to the campaign after leaving the race after Biden left the race after continuing his disastrous show in a discussion with Trump in late June 2024, many people in Harris’ inner circle believe that if she campaigned for more than 107 days, she could have beaten Trump. Harris’ running mate, Democratic Minnesota Governor Tim Waltz, is believed to be a possible presidential ambition, and has set out on a tour of the National City Hall, which will catch the public’s eye for months from Election Day.
