Kamala Harris on TikTok

On Thursday, a TikTok video featuring Kamala Harris, the former vice president, was posted, in which she mentioned she hasn’t taken it easy since stepping out of the public eye following the November presidential election.

In the TikTok post, Harris joins a popular trend where users obscure their faces while making bold statements. However, her mouth was visible, despite her attempts to cover it with her hands throughout the video. She asserted that instead of relaxing, she has been diligently working on her upcoming books.

“Everyone thinks you’re kicking back with a margarita on the beach, but you’re really working hard—writing a book, meeting with leaders, and contemplating the future of our country,” Harris joked while addressing the camera.

She further playfully asked, “Who said that?” before returning to the main topic. Earlier on Wednesday, she clarified that she is not seeking a gubernatorial position in California, despite speculation that she might run for governor or even consider a presidential bid in 2028.

After former President Joe Biden dropped out on July 21, 2024, Harris briefly entered the 2024 presidential race with his support.

Additionally, Harris announced on Thursday that she has written a book about her campaign titled “107 Days,” which is set for release in September. Comedian Kareem Rama mentioned that during the campaign, they had recorded a segment for “The Subway Take,” but ultimately decided it wouldn’t be published because it didn’t capture the essence they were aiming for.
