Former Arizona Republican gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake doubled down on her willingness to argue with the “loser” heckled at an event in Iowa on April 7.
Lake took to Twitter on Wednesday to reiterate her desire to argue with an unidentified heckler who called her a “fascist liar” during an event in Iowa. [testicles].”
Republicans continue to challenge their loss to Democratic Governor Katie Hobbs in the 2022 Arizona gubernatorial election. The state’s Supreme Court ruled last month that a lower court was erroneous in dismissing complaints about the signature verification process in Maricopa County’s early ballots.
However, the Arizona Supreme Court did not rule on the merits of Lake’s claims. The matter was remanded to Maricopa County Superior Court Judge Peter Thompson, who had previously dismissed Lake’s case.
Former newscaster Lake shared a news story about the heckling incident on Twitter on Wednesday, writing:
“Thankfully my kids have grown past those stages. Sadly, I can’t say the same about this loser who rushed off in terror. If he doesn’t grow up on Cojones’ set.” If so, I’d be happy to discuss him,” said the Republican. Emoji on the US flag.
Lake used to say Newsweek In a statement that she intended to discuss the heckling. rice field.
“Fortunately, my kids have grown out of both of these stages. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for this loser who had to rush to Mama. He’s from Iowa now.” He’s welcome to come on stage and debate with me if he’s going to grow Cojones’ set by the next event at .
On April 7, Lake was speaking to a crowd at the University of Iowa about the fact that he was born in Iowa, but was interrupted by a heckler to comment on his education.
In the video her campaign shared, a heckler could be heard yelling.
Other members of the crowd reacted angrily to the heckle, with one calling him a “scum” and another adding, “You’re the only fascist.”
The Republican replied to the man, “Really? In what way?” before she was informed that the person had left.
“Oh, he ran,” said Lake, adding, “I’m always ready to debate that guy.”
Speculation continues about Lake’s political future. From April 10-12, JL Partners polled 550 potential Republican candidate voters in Arizona. That gave Lake a 28-point lead over her closest rival in the Republican nomination for the Senate from Arizona.
However, she continues to challenge her loss in the 2022 election. Judge Peter Thompson is now tasked with deciding whether Lake’s petition for signature verification should be dismissed on other grounds or whether it is warranted.
Arizona Governor Hobbes defeated Lake by over 17,000 votes and took office on January 2.
