Bombshell alert.
Kari Lake scored another victory this week in the ongoing and never-ending challenge to the 2022 election. (Yes, it’s still going.)
“The sabotage was worse than we thought.” she tweeted on thursday. “I have some bombshell remarks I want to share with you…”
In contrast to her previous missteps, this particular “bomb” involved malicious Maricopa County election officials who conducted “secret tests” of tally machines and I knew a few weeks ago that 260 of the county’s 446 tally machines would fail.
This was a “shocking fact,” her attorney Kurt Olsen told Maricopa County Superior Court Judge Peter Thompson on Friday.
Will the judge re-grant Lake’s dismissed claims?
Well, anyway, this is the latest “shocking revelation” — all other revelations were less shocking, as far as Thompson, the Arizona Court of Appeals, and the Arizona Supreme Court have looked.
It will be up to Mr. Thompson to reaffirm Mr. Lake’s already-denied claim that the county’s printing press was intentionally set to malfunction, denying him the victory.
Thompson will also decide whether to hold a trial next week to determine whether the county has complied with the early voting signature verification law.
The Supreme Court found that earlier grounds for dismissing Mr. Lake’s claim were wrong and ordered him to reconsider the signature verification issue.
But BOMBSHELL is the big reveal of the week and is being heavily promoted on Lake and right-wing “news” sites across the country.
Attorney alleges county violated law
This is due to “new and compelling evidence” from Lake’s IT experts who spent hours combing aggregated logs to uncover the incendiary device.
Lake now claims that the county did not actually test the logic and accuracy of the tally as required by law on Oct. 11.
Instead, as the bomb case says, the county secretly tested the machines for three days over the next week and found that 260 tally machines produced error codes when ballots were inserted. .
Olsen told the judge that such a thing could only happen through either malware installed in the charting tool or “other remote access fraud.”
“Not only did Maricopa officials deliberately violate laws requiring tests of logic and accuracy, they also knew and planned for the Election Day debacle,” Olsen wrote. 8,000 votes not counted.
Except “Secret Test” was livestreamed
Even though that’s true and the county says otherwise, Lake lost by 17,117 votes.
County officials said Mr. Lake’s latest allegations were “laughable.”
The mandated tally test not only took place on Oct. 11, they said, but was also observed and accredited by state and county officials, as well as state Republican and Democratic representatives.
As for the so-called “secret test” next week, it was live-streamed.
Maricopa County Deputy Attorney Joseph La Rue told Thompson the county is introducing new memory cards with security features already certified to prevent double counting of votes. .
A few ballots were then issued to ensure that the memory cards were installed correctly, and some ballots were spat out, usually because the cards were not inserted correctly. It is said that
What next for Lake?Controversy over her signature verification continues
“That’s a shocking bombshell statement,” he said.
Considering the printer failure didn’t affect the election results, it seems like little more than a small firecracker.
my guess?This “bombshell” is great
But don’t take my word for it.
“Plaintiffs’ own experts believe that ballots that could not be read at vote centers could be deposited by voters, reproduced by the bipartisan board into readable ballots, and ultimately counted. I admit there is.
“Any ballot that cannot be read immediately by the tally machine, due to printer settings or other reasons, will be deposited at Door 3 of the tally machine, duplicated by a bipartisan adjudication committee, and tallied later. It’s worth repeating that it’s possible.”
Justice Thompson wrote in his December book: Judgment dismissing Lake’s challenge.
We’ll soon find out if Thompson is impressed with her latest BOMBSHELL.
myself? I think his judgment will come with a soundtrack like this:
hehehehe.
