Kash Patel Criticizes MSNBC As A Source Of False Information While Agency Considers Charges Against Former Director Comey

FBI Director Critiques MSNBC

On Saturday, FBI Director Kash Patel criticized MSNBC, labeling it as a “factory of disinformation” following comments made by one of the network’s legal analysts regarding the former FBI director’s potential appearances. Patel’s remarks came after Barb McQuade, a former U.S. attorney for the Eastern District of Michigan, mentioned on X that Department of Justice policies prohibit “Perp Walks” in front of the media.

McQuade’s post referenced multiple reports about the FBI releasing a duty agent who did not arrange for a “Perp Walk” for former director James Comey. While Patel didn’t deny that he had fired the agent, he emphasized that there are expectations for agents’ compliance under his leadership.

In his response on social media, Patel stated, “MSNBC is still a factory for disinformed butt clowns.” He went on to criticize how details had been handled regarding the incidents involving figures like Steve Bannon and Navarro, claiming that the network lacks both facts and a substantial audience.

Kash Patel’s tweet: “Destruction: MSNBC is still a factory of misinformed butt clowns. The same circus animal was badly covered in the middle of a walk in Bannon, Navarro… MSNBC has no facts or audience.”

Recently, Comey faced charges for lying to Congress and obstructing an investigation. Patel also noted MSNBC’s prior coverage of incidents involving conservatives, some of whom were subjected to “Perp Walks.” Political consultant Roger Stone and journalist Steve Baker have both shared images related to these past arrests.

MSNBC has yet to respond to requests for comments regarding Patel’s statements.
