Kash Patel Fires Up First Statement As FBI Director, Tells Media ‘Bring It On’

FBI Director Kash Patel issued his first statement as director after being sworn in Friday, fulfilling his promise to clean up media challenges and reforms within the department.

Patel began his speech by expressing gratitude to his supporters, then moved on to a detailed breakdown of the FBI’s future plans. He also turned his eyes to the press and directed criticism of himself to protect his team from media scrutiny.

“I know the media is here. If you have a target, then that target is here. Not FBI men and women. And everything you can do. [say] As for me, it’s fake, malicious, defamatory, I’ll keep it up and keep it up, but I’ll leave the FBI men and women out of there,” Patel says. I did.

Previously, Patel, the secretary of defense chief of staff during Trump’s first term, gained notoriety for his criticism of Mueller’s investigation into alleged Russian interference in the 2016 election. The newly confirmed FBI director also criticized the misuse of surveillance rights and advocated the establishment of a “24/7 office.”
