Obviously, no one wants to come across a great white shark while in the sea, so that’s especially true when you’re in a very small kayak. However, 19-year-old Matt Wells was recently thrown into this exact scenario while fishing off the coast of New Zealand. To be precise, it’s Cape Reinga. Posted to both of him YouTube Channels and Instagram On Sunday’s account, the video shows a big white shark approaching his kayak. When Wells realized the threat he was opposed, he quickly cut off his live bait and began paddling the shore.
“f*ck me, behind me there’s a huge, huge white. f*ck me,” Wells said as he was chased. “He’s still behind me. He’s just following me. If I’m eaten, it wouldn’t be much fun. How can I get him to let me go? He’s He’s still right behind me.”

How big this shark is is very crazy for me, but it’s not the most surprising thing in the world.
I’ve been to New Zealand before and one of the first warnings I got about this country was the fact that water, the fact that it can easily attract you and is packed with sharks. And not just sharks, but also great white sharks. I’m not kidding you. New Zealand Conservation Bureau There is even a record of the country being a “global hotspot” of great white sharks.
And this is exactly why I didn’t have my butt in the water.
