In honor of the late Lance Reddick, the Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror Films has announced that Keanu Reeves will be the inaugural recipient of the Lance Reddick Legacy Award, Collider reported on Friday.
This prestigious honor will be presented at the 51st Saturn Awards, a ceremony dedicated to Reddick's memory. according to to the collider. This award recognizes Reeves' significant contributions to filmmaking throughout his distinguished career. Titus Welliver, Reddick's close friend and former “Bosch” co-star, will present the award to Reeves.
The decision to present Reeves with the award is particularly poignant given his close friendship with Reddick, which was forged through their collaboration on the “John Wick” film series, the newspaper reported. Reddick, who died in March 2023 at the age of 60, shared the screen with Reeves in four chapters of John Wick and the upcoming spinoff Ballerina, which featured Reddick's final on-screen role.

Director Christopher Nolan is reportedly expected to win the Visionary Award for his groundbreaking work on science fiction films such as “The Prestige,'' “Inception,'' “Interstellar,'' and “Tenet.'' According to the newspaper, Lucasfilm Chief Creative Officer Dave Filoni will receive the George Pal Memorial Award, a special award given to outstanding cinematic storytelling in the realm of fantasy.
In addition, Seth MacFarlane will reportedly receive the Robert Foster Artist Honor Award in recognition of his innovative contributions to the entertainment industry.
