I could see this happening perfectly.
The NBA Finals are over and it’s time to enter the offseason. As a result, former NBA star and current ESPN analyst Kendrick Perkins predicted five moves likely to happen this summer.
His biggest board meeting topic was about Philadelphia 76ers superstar James Harden, who he believes will become the Los Angeles Lakers and team up with LeBron James.
Be expected opt out of the final year of his contract A deal with the Sixers would allow Harden to become a free agent and sign with any team, but Perkins thinks it will be purple and gold.
If Harden actually signs a contract with the Lakers, it would be an actual homecoming for Harden, who hails from Los Angeles and attends Artesia High School near Lakewood.
Perkins’ predictions for the other four include Bradley Beal to the Boston Celtics, Fred VanVleet to the Philadelphia 76ers and Draymond Green to the Phoenix Suns (also shocking). and Brook Lopez to re-sign with the Milwaukee Bucks.

The three I think will legitimately happen are Brook Lopez re-signing with the Milwaukee Bucks (which is obvious to me), Fred VanVleet becoming the Philadelphia 76ers, and James For Harden to go home to become the Lakers. Add to that the simple fact that he’s from Los Angeles, and the 33-year-old probably makes championships his number one priority. And who could say he wasn’t a Lakers fan?
Let’s put ourselves in his position. You’re from Los Angeles (a city full of palm trees and beaches that I happen to call home), (potentially) a Lakers fan, and have the privilege of playing alongside LeBron. James and Anthony Davis go for the championship. And they are paid millions for doing all this. Kendrick Perkins may have something to do with Harden’s prophecies.
