Kevin Spacey Calls for Release of Epstein Records
Actor Kevin Spacey made headlines on Tuesday by urging for the release of all records related to Jeffrey Epstein on X. This comes amid ongoing allegations against Spacey himself regarding sexual misconduct involving minors, though he has not been convicted of any such crimes. Spacey’s remarks followed the Trump administration’s conclusion that Epstein’s death in 2019 was a suicide, highlighting a lack of compiled client lists tied to Epstein.
On his account with 3.6 million followers, Spacey stated, “We’re releasing the Epstein Files. We’re releasing them all. For us who have nothing to fear, the truth cannot come anytime soon. I hate making this about myself, but the media already has it.”
Interestingly, in January 2024, over 150 names connected to Epstein were unveiled as part of a legal proceeding against Ghislaine Maxwell, who is currently serving a 20-year federal sentence for her role in trafficking underage girls for Epstein.
Spacey, now 65, faced criminal charges from UK prosecutors in 2022 following accusations of assaulting three men dating back to 2005. He was also found not liable in a civil case launched by actor Anthony Rapp, who alleged that Spacey had made sexual advances toward him in the 1980s when Rapp was just 14 and Spacey was 27. As reported, this has led to some scrutiny regarding his own calls for transparency in Epstein’s case.
Spacey was previously dismissed from Netflix’s “House of Cards” in 2017, but has recently continued his acting journey, taking on roles in independent films and stage performances.
