What a night…I won 3 Grammys and got arrested.
Just hours after winning his third Grammy Award, rapper Killer Mike was taken into police custody and led away from the ceremony in handcuffs.
The legendary rapper was on a roll during Sunday night's ceremony. Each Best Rap Song, Best Rap Performance, and Best Rap Album. It was a really big night for the 48-year-old. (Related article: 'Taylor Swift effect': Pop queen quickly sells out NFL's Super Bowl commercial)
However, just a few hours later, Killer Mike was arrested while still at the Grammys, and a video was released showing the artist being led out of the Crypto.com Arena by police.
Grammy officials said Mike was “arrested on a misdemeanor charge and has nothing to do with what happened in this area today.” Chris Gardner of The Hollywood Reporter.
“It's no big deal,” one source said, according to Gardner. Perhaps he will be released.
