After extensive jury trial deliberations at the Kingman-Mojave County Law and Justice Center, the 15-year-old Kingman murder defendant was found guilty of all counts. The committee deliberated briefly on Tuesday, and over most of Wednesday and part of Thursday for a total of more than 10 hours, after which Edward Serato was found guilty of all criminal charges.
Serato, 53, was convicted of burglary, transportation theft, two counts of arson and second-degree murder on Christmas Day, and the murder of Anna Hammons, 70, in 2007. rice field.

This was Serato’s second trial in the Hammons murder case. The first trial ended with another jury unable to reach a unanimous verdict and the jury hung up.
Court said Serato will be sentenced to 10 to 25 years in prison for the murder alone, but will be given more time for other charges at a sentencing hearing by Judge Billy Sipe on Aug. 15. said it could be done.
