Two Dozen Kings Finish Top 2, Alex Cervantes Dominates Women’s Jump
YUMA, AZ (KYMA, KECY) – More local meetings were held at the Yuma County track on Wednesday afternoon. One took place at San Luis High School.
At the end of the day, the Kofa Kings had their best day of the 2023 season.
A total of 15 first-place finishes put the Kings ahead in every athletics event.
In the women’s hurdles, it was all Olivia Taylor who won both the 100m and 200m races. Taylor put her first in the 100m with a time of 17.57 seconds and in the 200m with a time of 49.12 seconds.
The long and sprint events also performed well for Kofa. Many top prize winners for both men and women.

According to Kofa’s coach Joseph Figueroa, several men’s and women’s relay teams have taken first place in several heats, but there appears to be a time discrepancy in some records.
These numbers will be available later once confirmed.
In field events, it was much the same for the Kings, who took many top spots throughout the day, including Lady King Alex Cervantes’ treble.
