Every year, when an NFL rookie signs their rookie contract and receives their first huge signing bonus, there are heartwarming stories that emerge of players buying things for their loved ones and those who helped them get to where they are today.
A video of former Alabama star Kool-Aid McKinstry's first big purchase has gone viral on social media.
The New Orleans Saints cornerback bought his mother a brand new $140,000 Mercedes G-Wagon from a Birmingham dealership.

McKinstry, a second-round draft pick (41st overall), signed a rookie contract that will pay him approximately $10 million over the first four years of his NFL career.
The biggest deciding factor was the signing bonus, with McKinstry receiving $3.4 million early in his NFL career.
Because McKinstry played in the NIL era, they were obviously allowed to cash in on his name. On3 values him at just under $1 million in the NIL era, which is, of course, a huge amount of money.
But once a player makes it to the NFL, the payouts in college football don't even come close to what the league offers, especially if they're selected early in the draft.
And with his first big NFL paycheck, McKinstry is looking out for the people who love him most.
