Kristi Noem Reports a Remarkable Amount of Applications for ICE Jobs in Just Two Weeks

DHS Secretary Discusses Surge in ICE Applications

On Wednesday, Homeland Security Secretary Christy Noem shared on Fox News’ “Hannity” that around 110,000 individuals applied for positions at U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) within just two weeks.

In a prior Fox interview on August 6th, Noem had mentioned that ICE was lifting the age limit for executive applications as part of efforts to increase the workforce by 10,000 positions. When Sean Hannity inquired about the number of applications, reports indicated that it had surpassed 100,000.

“Actually, as of today, we have around 110,000 applications within two weeks,” Noem stated. “That’s what I’m encouraging. It’s clear that Americans are behind President Trump and these officers. They want to contribute to keeping this country safe.”

Noem further commented, “The American people are quite pleased to see that the rule of law is being upheld. Those who obey the law are being prioritized, and President Trump is doing precisely that. A high number of applications means we can hire the most qualified individuals, allowing experienced candidates to receive their ICE badges quickly and start working to ensure the safety of families.”

ICE noted that this expansion is feasible through funding allocated from President Donald Trump’s proposed budget.

Additional funding will offer potential agents benefits such as signing bonuses up to $50,000, student loan repayment options, and 25% availability for HSI special agents, among other incentives, according to DHS.
