Solomons — One of Gila Valley’s oldest eateries has closed.
On Tuesday, it was announced on social media that La Paloma Restaurant will be closed indefinitely.
“It is with a broken heart and a weary soul that it is with deep regret that I announce that La Paloma has closed indefinitely. You’ll miss it,’ read the Facebook post.
Known for its authentic Mexican cuisine Sonora, La Paloma first opened over 45 years ago.
The restaurant is owned by Nick Nordgran-Tellez, who was recently elected the new chairman of the Graham County Chamber of Commerce.
He started managing the restaurant in 2011 and purchased it in 2016. A year later, Nordgran-Tellez received his 2017 Success Award from the Small Business Development Center Arizona Network.
