The Fugees and Lauryn Hill quietly canceled summer and fall tour dates in the U.S. without publicly announcing why.
The dates were removed from Ticketmaster and fans who had already purchased tickets received notification late Tuesday with information on how to obtain a refund. varietyDespite the first show being cancelled just three days later, no reason or explanation has been provided to fans.

The Fugees rose to fame in the '90s and have long been considered one of the biggest influences in rap and hip hop. The group was formed by the legendary Wyclef Jean, Plas Michelle, and Lauryn Hill, who also had a successful solo career.
The nature of this cancellation is different to what fans are used to seeing: whereas normal procedure would be for announcements and updates to be broadcast to fans on social media, in this case all parties have remained silent.
Fans who had tickets have been sharing their experiences online, with some posting screenshots of the cancellation notices they received from Live Nation.
“Your event has been canceled. Refunds will be sent to your account shortly,” the short message read.
The tour was due to kick off on Friday in Tampa, Florida. A number of dates have been affected, including a highly anticipated show at the Hollywood Bowl on September 17. Shows scheduled for New York and New Jersey at the end of September have also been canceled, as have shows in Atlanta, Philadelphia, Dallas, Houston and Milwaukee. All 18 dates on the US tour have been scrapped from the calendar, according to Variety.
Fans can still purchase tickets for the tour's international dates, which begin in Manchester, England on October 12, with October shows in Amsterdam, London and Paris still listed as upcoming events.

It is unclear whether these dates will remain in place or suffer the same fate as the U.S. tour dates. (Related: Aerosmith retires from touring due to Steven Tyler's health condition)
Hill and the Fugees canceled other shows in November 2023 after Hill said he was unable to perform due to vocal cord strain.
