Lawyers for Sean “Diddy” Combs recently asked a judge for a gag order, claiming that grand jury witnesses are making false allegations against the disgraced music mogul.
Diddy’s defense team is seeking to limit the speech of a man named Courtney Burgess and her attorney Ariel Mitchell, who have spoken extensively to the media outside of court. According to reports, Diddy’s legal team filed documents in court on Sunday asking the judge to expedite action on Diddy’s motion for a gag order. TMZ. They claimed it was an “extortion scam” and accused the government of fueling conspiracy theories about the rapper, according to TMZ.

Diddy’s lawyers argued that Burgess’ claims were false and defamatory, affecting his right to a fair trial.
According to TMZ, Burgess said she was called to testify against Diddy because she claimed to have videos of him and his celebrity friends.
Burgess gave multiple interviews in the days leading up to the filing of the gag order.

Diddy’s defense team maintained his innocence as investigations into allegations of sex trafficking and sexual assault of men, women and minors continue.
The singer remains in jail after being arrested in September on charges of racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking by force, fraud or coercion, and transportation for prostitution.

Numerous civil and criminal lawsuits have been filed against the star. This clinical trial is scheduled to begin in May 2025.
