SAFFORD — A woman with special needs who was missing for 44 days has been found.
A Facebook page looking for Liberty Salazar and a personal page for Salazar’s mother, Scarlett Donaldson, posted, “We found Liberty. Thank you for your prayers and support!”
The woman’s condition has not been disclosed.
Gila Valley Central’s request for comment from the family was not immediately returned.
The Graham County Sheriff’s Office confirmed in an email to Gila Valley Central that Salazar “is in Texas and efforts are being made to reunite the family.”
The sheriff’s office also said a full statement will be released Wednesday morning.
Salazar, 21, has been diagnosed with autism with epilepsy. She disappeared near her home on January 23rd.
At the March 4 rally, it was revealed that Salazar had Native American heritage, and a Bureau of Indian Affairs investigative force had come to Graham County to assist in the search.
