liberty forward Jonquel Jones He led New York, one of the original WNBA franchises, with 17 points on the stat sheet. Liberty has appeared in the Finals five times, losing each time, including in the 2023 season. But this time, they finally overcame the odds and Liberty can now call herself a champion.
The Liberty’s title win gave New York City its first basketball championship in 51 years, the last time the Knicks won a ring in 1973.
