John has watched a total of 427 Eagles home games, 324 of them in a row. He uses a spreadsheet to keep track of all his games.
The only time he missed a match was when fans were not allowed into the stadium, like when fans didn’t attend a match during the coronavirus season.
This year, the Eagles finished the regular season 14-3, pushing their winning habits all through the postseason, winning the NFC championship and setting themselves up for the Super Bowl, but John didn’t. He wins the ticket lottery and enters the game.
Rain, snow or sun, John is in the stands cheering on his team.
John is a true fan and shows up even when the team isn’t doing well. He said his first game was in 1970 when a friend invited him over. , the team lost to the Cowboys.
The following season he went again and the atmosphere in the stadium when the team played against the Denver Broncos drove him crazy. In 1972, John purchased his ticket for the season. Back then, he could only pay $5 for a game, and now he can’t even park in the stadium for that fee.
324 games is the number of games in the decades following John’s winning streak that began in 1982.
He went to the Super Bowl to support his sons and went to Super Bowl 39. Sadly, the Eagles lost to the Patriots that year. This year he hopes to repeat his 2017 season.
