A professor at the University of Kansas (UK) told his class that men who don’t vote for a woman president should line up and be shot, according to a video posted Wednesday.
The university confirmed the professor was employed in the UK and made the comments during a fall semester lecture, but did not identify him. According to To the Topeka Capital Journal. After that, the instructor was placed on administrative leave.
“If you (think) that boys are smarter than girls, you have a serious problem,” he said in the video. “That’s what frustrates me. Some men in our society would refuse to vote for a potential female president because they don’t think she’s smart enough to be president. You could line them all up and shoot them. They obviously don’t understand how the world works.”
“Did I say that? Scratch that from the recording,” the professor quickly added. “I don’t want the deans to hear what I said.”

The university said the professor regretted the comment, which was intended solely to defend women’s rights, but is currently investigating.
“We are aware of this video. It was recorded during a class session earlier this semester,” UK spokeswoman Erin Barcomb Peterson told the Capital Journal. “The instructor has been placed on administrative leave pending further investigation. The instructor is deeply sorry for this incident and has deeply reflected on it. His intention is to emphasize the defense of women’s rights and equality. However, we recognize that we did a very poor job in that regard. The university has an established process for situations like this, and we intend to follow that process.”
Multiple educators have been accused of making inappropriate comments about the 2024 presidential election, and in July, a Bellarmine University professor was suspended after posting on social media, “If you shoot, don’t miss” after the first assassination attempt. It became. Republican presidential candidate and former president Donald Trump. Education officials in Oklahoma also announced plans to revoke a teacher’s license after the teacher said she wished a would-be assassin of President Trump had been given “better scope.” (Related: DEI Professor Warns President Trump May Use Assassination Attempt to ‘Appeal to Black Voters’ in Deleted Post)
