Locals paint a mural over the Fine Arts building at the Yuma Fairgrounds

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) – The Yuma community participated in the creation of a mural at the Fine Arts Building at the Yuma Fairgrounds Saturday morning.

According to Chairman Louise Pimlott: Mountain Shadows Artist Associationthis is to assist with renovations as the building is used to display works for art shows.

The mural was unveiled at the fairgrounds at 8 a.m. and lasted until 4 p.m. Mr. Pimlott expresses his enthusiasm for the project.

In addition to the mural, Pimlott said window blinds will be replaced, a sewage system will be added near the exhibition building and portable sinks will be installed where people can wash their hands after painting the artwork. said.

The association will hold its second and final painting session on Sunday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the venue, where KYMA will display the final products.
