According to the announcement: Longleaf Recovery & Wellness, a leading mental health outpatient facility in Hoover, officially opened on Tuesday, April 2 with a ribbon cutting and open house.
Present at the event were Alabama Department of Mental Health Commissioner Kim Boswell and Hoover Mayor Frank Brocato.
“We are extremely honored to partner with this group to expand and improve access to health care in Alabama,” said Chairman Boswell. “It is critical that we expand programs like this to fill ongoing health care gaps, and this program will help fill a need that is currently not really being served in our state.”

“It's clear that there is a great need in Alabama for more accessible, high-quality options for both substance use treatment and comprehensive mental health treatment,” CEO Collin Harris said in a statement.
A partnership between Birmingham Recovery Center, LIV Development and EBSCO Industries, Longleaf's mission is to provide more treatment options to Alabamians through strategic expansion. The company's Huntsville-area facility is scheduled to open in late April, with a Baldwin County facility expected to open in mid-summer.
