It's not something you want to see as an LSU fan.
The LSU Tigers football team has a star linebacker Harold Perkins Jr. He will miss the remainder of the 2024 season due to a torn ACL, according to a Sunday night report from 247Sports.
While LSU plays UCLA on Saturday, Fourth Quarter Perkins was seen leaving the field and heading to the medical tent, where upon arrival, trainers assessed his condition and preliminary tests were performed on the knee. Perkins reportedly learned the news on Sunday after undergoing an MRI on his knee, and according to Matt Zenitz of 247Sports, the junior has torn his ACL and will be out for the rest of the season.
Following the win over UCLA, Tigers coach Brian Kelly spoke to the media about Perkins and his injury, but not much information was available at the time.
“We'll be running all the diagnostic testing tonight and tomorrow,” Kelly said, “and we'll have better answers at my press conference on Monday.”
